Ok, so it's good but I don't know what to say, I mean it's bad too. Judging strictly by the quality, it's outstanding. But also, the show has lost some of it's charm by being upscaled like that. And also some of the first episodes are forced as hell until the characters' faces are actually double-drawed.

Yeah, I know. It's a source issue with season 1 disks 1, 3, 4, and 5 and season 2 disk 1 and then two episodes in season 3. We've had a lot of discussion about it and we we've found an alternate source to use for those episodes that may improve the quality some.

Damn man.... Just started watching it and its like theres double layers of drawings on top of each other.
Almost like trying to watch a 3D movie without 3D glasses. Hopefully every episode isn't like this.

Excellent work to all of your team. I commented on the furiseto release a while ago that someone should upscale to 1080p using 6000kbps at a target size of 1GB per episode, and I was totally surprised when exactly that was uploaded to TPB. Image quality is insane!
I do have a question, did you do anything about the audio? I noticed that in furiseto's release, the audio was 448kbps AC3, and here you have 192kbps AAC. Conventional wisdom says AAC is better than AC3 at lower bitrates, but I'm curious if you have any thoughts about any of that.
Lastly, about the new sources for the first few eps, are you interested in redoing the release for the affected eps?

Audio is the original 192 kbps stereo AC-3 stream. We didn't alter it in any way. No clue why you're saying it's AAC because it's not.
Furiseto just decided to re-encode the audio at 448 kbps for whatever reason (which is pointless since all it does is increase filesize without improving quality).
Episodes 1-4 won't be getting a re-release. No good sources available.

Speaking of which, there's a second HEVC release of this torrent on TPB. It's supposedly encoded in 12-bit HEVC. I've done some SC comparisons and it's fairly close. It's only 12GB compared to the 18GB on Reddit. Maybe y'all should check that out.
You said the new source you found had good de-halo-ing, so I figured you would re-release those eps eventually. It's fine if you don't, your work is stellar on this one regardless!

I made some to check the new HEVC encode, see what you think. From about 2 feet away from my screen (17.3" 1080p) I can't notice anything different most of the time, but I'll leave it up to you. Cheers!
